Fireside

As I mentioned in an earlier post the theme for 2010 comes from Joshua 1:9~ "Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed; for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."

This Sunday, January 31, our Bishop has planned a special fireside that wasn't originally on our calendar to introduce this theme to all of the youth. The fireside will be held at our building at 7:00 in the chapel, so church dress is required. Bishop has also asked that ALL the Young Women and Young Men LEADERS be in attendance as well as all youth 12-18. I am especially encouraging you all to be there because I (Sister Hull) will be speaking, so come support me!!

Like a Missionary

This Wednesday, January 27, we are having our monthly combined activity with the boys. The boys have put together a really fun activity that everyone is going to be able to enjoy. We are going to be performing tasks that missionaries have to do, but in a competitive way. The girls have been asked to please bring any clothes that might need ironing as well as shoes that need to be shined. As always mutual is from 7-8:30 at our church building. Come and have some fun!!

Rock Out!!

This Friday night, January 22nd, is the first Bishop's Youth Night for the new year. We will be meeting at the church from 7-9 p.m. and playing Beatles Rock Band. All youth 12-18 are invited to come and please invite your friends!!! As always there will be plenty of snacks and fun for everyone!

Camp Activity

This Wednesday we will all be meeting together for our first camp certification activity for the year. Please bring your camp book so we can sign you off on all the stuff you learn!! Sister Williamson has planned a fantastic activity that will not only be educational, but super fun too!!

Laurels: Please remember to come prepared to teach the skill that you were assigned. If you can't remember what you are supposed to be teaching please contact Sister Hull or Sister Williamson.

that is the theme for 2010. For mutual this week we will all be meeting together at 7:00 on Wednesday to make bracelets incorporating the new mutual theme. The Beehives have worked hard getting this together for us, so I encourage everyone to come out and support their efforts, besides it's going to be a ton of fun!!

Manicure Anyone?

To kick off the first activity of 2010 the Mia Maids and Laurels will be meeting tonight at the church at 6:45 and leaving by 7:00 to go get manicures!! Don't worry about money, we got you covered, and we're even going to take you home afterwards. See you all tonight!
